Brace Connection - Hor Member Connection Type


When hor member connects to column, it's called beam, it's commonly seen in ver brace connection.

When hor member connects to gusset plate, it's call strut, it's commonly seen in truss connection where diagonal barces and ver chord share the same gusset plate.
