Anchor Bolt Head Type
There are 5 standard types of anchor bolt head:
Hardened Washer USS has larger Abrg area than
Hardened Washer SAE.

User can select above 5 standard type heads or custom
head if the anchor bolt head is non standard.

Anchor head type determines the anchor head bearing
area Abrg value. Abrg is the net bearing area of the
head of anchor bolt. It's used in the anchor pullout and
side blowout resistance calculation.

If standard head is selected, the Abrg will be set
automatically by the program.

Please note for anchor bolt dia >1.5" many head types
are not commercially available and user will find the
Abrg = -1.000 in2. When this occurs user shall change
head type to Heavy Hex or Custom Head. Heay Hex
head type is available for all diameter of anchor rod.

If Custom Head is selected, user shall key in the Abrg
value manually in the orange color cell below.

The custom head Abrg can be calculated as
Abrg = (head area - anchor rod shank area) , which is
shown as hatch area below.
